Combined with a walk through her garden, Katie will talk about plant selection, habitat creation and other considerations when transforming your yard into a pollinator haven. Many of the same principles apply when creating pollinator habitat elsewhere, though there can be other considerations (questions will be welcomed!)
Dr. Katie Buckley
Dr. Buckley is the Pollinator Health Coordinator for the Washington State Department of Agriculture. She is the chair for Washington state’s Pollinator Health Task Force and leads WSDA's Pollinator Program. She coordinates on pollinator issues with different state agencies and conservation, agricultural, and other industry groups and she has an active program on pollinator education.Katie is also a hobbyist beekeeper and avid gardener.
