About the event

The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association is nonprofit based out of Bellingham that provides lots of opportunities to be involved in habitat restoration in Whatcom County.

These volunteer restoration events take place mostly on Saturdays at different sites across the county. We provide all the tools and instructions so that anyone can join us and improve salmon habitat. The most common goals are to plant trees and remove invasive vegetation (to make space for more trees!) We also provide a lot of education on freshwater and salmon ecology and the services that trees provide to the ecosystem.

We also have Wednesday events focused on caring for older restoration sites that need some love! The full schedule is on our website at www.n-sea.org/stream-stewards.
